Welcome to the world of Integrative Mind Body Work

Stress causes us to use more mental, emotional and physical energy than is necessary to hold ourselves together. Having someone nurture us in a safe and supportive environment not only lowers our blood pressure but also makes us aware - that what's on our mind impacts our physical body. This includes becoming aware of our emotional energy or lack of it!

My work deals directly with our physical, mental, emotional and energy bodies. As a practitioner I utilize the form which is the chosen entry point for my client given their need or presenting concern.

Psychotherapy, Counseling, Coaching: Body/Self Awareness of negative patterns, physical/mental/emotional/behavioral, utilizing therapies and strategies for healing and change.

PBSP, Pesso Boyden Systems Psychomotor: Deep Mind/Body work which supports a shift from surviving to thriving; uncovers stressful patterns in thinking/feeling/ behaving & offers method for creating alternative memories which support our well being.

Integrative Mind/Body Energy Healing: Hands-on Transpersonal table work which engages your physical/emotional/mental and energy bodies for transpersonal healing, grounding and well being.

Learning how to listen to the "all of us" brings a sense of inner peace that overflows into our physical body, creating a sense of feeling "in sync" with ourselves and comfortable in our own skin. Kathryn provides a homey environment for healing and self-care experiences. Together you and she assess what you need. You SENSE, FEEL and KNOW the difference.

Kathryn Power-O'Brien, MA, MTh, is a mind/body psychotherapist and therapeutic educator in the Twin Cities who specializes in working with busy people who need regular or periodic "time-out" experiences. She helps clients deal with issues as "touchy" as family or work relationships, as full of feeling as grief and loss, neglect and abuse; or as spiritual as faith or midlife crisis.

"What people long to enjoy as the fruits of living are pleasure, satisfaction, meaning and a sense of being connected to self, others and the world around them."   Kathryn
